Kano Pillars are improving now–Musa

.Thrilled with scoring ability

Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Ibrahim Musa is elated with the team’s commitment after the 3-0 win over Nasarawa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 6 encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

All the three goals were scored in the first half to earn Sai Masu Gida all three points at stake in the match.

Adamu Hassan opened scoring for the Kano Pillars in the 20th minute. Hassan, who made his return to Kano Pillars from Nasarawa United, profited from a follow-up to score after Victor dennis’ initial attempt was blocked.

Pillars double their lead six minutes later when the visitors failed to deal with Chris Madaki’s cross, Chinedu Sunday pops up in the box to apply the finish.

Hassan completed the rout when he netted his second goal of the day in the 34 minute to increase the position on the log.

In a chat with SportingLife, Musa said has boys have improved while insisting that there are still some departments to work on in the squad.

“It was an interesting match. My boys played better today but we still have more areas to work on,” Musa told SportingLife.

He added: “We scored three goals in the first half and we should have scored more goals in the second half too but we didn’t have force in the attack. We missed scoring chances in the second half. The good thing about the team now is that they are improving game after game. We worked a lot after our last game and our hard work is now yielding positive results. We won’t lose our concentration because our target is to top our group and win the league.”
