Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo believes the Super Eagles main squad will struggle to beat Mexico in a football match.
Omeruo made this known, while reacting to the 4-0 bashing of the home-based stars in the hand of Mexico on Sunday morning in Los Angeles.
The NPFL players were outplayed by the world number eleven in the international friendly and the result drew negative reactions from football lovers on social media.
Omeruo has now come to the defence of players, saying the Super Eagles main team will struggle to cope with qualities, in the Mexican team.
“Mexico is one of the best teams in the world and even with the main Super Eagles it would have been difficult and it can go either way how much more a whole team of home-based players with just one or two weeks to train and that is not enough,” noted the Leganes of Spain defender in Abuja.
