Keshi, Yekini, Oliha, Uche Okafor get FG houses after death, 27 years after

Stephen Keshi, Rashidi Yekini, Thompson Oliha, Wilfred Agbonavbare and Uche Okafor have finally been awarded houses by the Federal Government even after their death and 27 years after they helped the Super Eagles win the 1994 AFCON in Tunisia.

Some of the other beneficiaries of this largesse are Peter Rufai, Alloy Agu, Ike Shorunmu, Uche Okechukwu, Samson Siasia, Efan Ekoku, Sunday Oliseh, Mutiu Adepoju, Emmanuel Amuneke, Victor Ikpeba, Austin Eguavoen and Daniel Amokachi.

The backroom staff were equally rewarded.

A statement from the Presidency signed by Garba Shehu disclosed that President Muhammdu Buhari has approved the allocation of three-bedroom houses to the Super Eagles for winning the 1994 AFCON.

The statement further said this was following a memo by the minister of works and housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola.

Six players and three officials from the 1994 squad have so far received their houses, as reported by scorenigeria.
