Klopp goes old skool to silence critics

Jurgen Klopp had a trademark summary of Liverpool’s Champions League victory in Madrid last night.

The Reds manager lifted the trophy alongside his captain Jordan Henderson after beating Tottenham 2-0.

Naturally, the German manager was in fantastic spirits and appeared to be extra cheeky when talking to the media after the final whistle.

While being interviewed by Viasport Fotball, Klopp commented on the repeated questions he has had to face over his record in cup finals.

He had lost his previous six, including three while in charge of Liverpool – but tonight they are going home with silverware.

Klopp jovially said then sang to the interviewer: “There’s always a couple of people who tell you yeah but you didn’t win, so now, let’s talk about six baby!

“Let’s talk about you and me. Let’s talk about all the good and bad things that may be – let’s talk about SIX.”

The presenter even joined in with Jurgen Klopp with his Salt-N-Pepa inspired melody.

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi were enough for Jurgen Klopp’s side at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium , and Liverpool’s players and manager are sure to go down in the club’s folklore following the victory.
