Knee injury makes Awoniyi Doubtful For Royal Mouscron, Brugge League Clash 

A knee injury may rule out Nigeria and Royal Mouscron forward Taiwo Awoniyi from Sunday’s league clash against champions Club Brugge at the Jan Breydelstadion.

The Nigerian who has become a key member of the Belgium club picked up the injury in the club’s 1-1 draw against Saint Truiden last weekend.

During the game, Awoniyi had to be replaced with Faiti Peirrot.

He has so far scored seven goals from eight appearances this season since switching from premier league side Liverpool on loan.

The injury also threatens his availability for Nigeria’s  Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Libya next week.
