La Liga: Madrid plan to play remaining games at Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium

Real Madrid may play the rest of the La Liga season at their second team’s grounds.

‘OKDiario’ claims that the club could be considering such an option in order to take advantage of the halt in football to continue the ongoing construction work at the Santiago Bernabéu in case football resumes without public.

The club would not be losing out, and could even gain some revenue through the measures.

The grass on the main pitch would not have to undergo as much maintenance as usual because of the sporting action and, in any case, there would be no need to welcome any fans.

And it turns out any kind of work at the stadium is often delayed by the games being played. In order to make any progress, the necessary areas need to be made available for the fans to enter the building.

In case this decision is taken, a plan will have to be made so that the second team, RM Castilla, is not harmed.

Both teams have to coordinate themselves so that neither one occupies the pitch when it is the other one’s turn to use it.
