Laganes have not been lucky – Omeruo

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo,  said  element of luck has been working against his club, CD Leganes in La Liga, stressing that he believes with time, they would overcome the challenges.

It is hard times at CD Leganes as the club sits at the bottom of the log after 15 round of matches and Omeruo seems not to understand why the club are still struggling.

Leganes sacked Mauricio Pellegrino in October and hired Javier Aguirre, but very little has changed on the field for club and Omeruo believes they’ve just not been “lucky enough”.

The Nigerian defender who joined Lega permanently from Chelsea in the summer told brilafm, that the new Manager has been a source of motivation for the players and insists the results will improve soon.

“We lack a bit of luck. We have a new Coach who motivates us and the team is quite confident now.

“You can see that we play well, the team is disciplined, but the result haven’t been going our way. Hopefully we will win this weekend and carry on from there,” the 26 year-old said
