“Lagos state as I would say is the home for sport in Nigeria because our governor is a lover of sport and he has tried every possible best to make sporting activities continue to boom in the country, indeed sports in Lagos has come to stay. We are hoping and believing that Super Eagles will return to Lagos for their matches and Lagosians will have opportunity to watch their darling team again and that is why we are hoping that when all our stadiums are ready, all these will become a reality,” ” he said.

He added: “We give glory to God for the great works he has started in the development of sport in Lagos State by restructuring the Onikan stadium with the help of Governor Ambode who has been very helpful to the sporting activities in Lagos. The Teslim Balogun is undergoing some changes like the natural grass fixing and other minor things, the APC national leader has also really tried in supporting and sponsoring the sports in the states.

Also he lauded the Lagos State Sports Commission for the exciting job they have done in putting together the Teslim Balogun Stadium and hopes on having football played again in the stadium.
