Lampard: I always feel Abramovich’s support

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, believes he has the full support of owner Roman Abramovich.

The Blues spent a lot of money on the team in the summer, and Abramovich will be hoping for an improvement on last season’s fourth place.

While the team has started steadily in the Premier League and Europe, a consistent run of wins is yet to emerge.

But Lampard says the support of the owner is always felt, after Abramovich was spotted in the crowd for their 4-0 win over Krasnodar in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

“I was aware he was at the game which makes us all happy,” said Lampard to reporters.

“I always feel the support of the owner whether he is at games or not. To have him here is a nice bonus for myself and the squad, and we are very respectful of him of course.

“I didn’t manage to see him, by the time I came out for the warm-up he wasn’t around, but I’m very pleased we put on a good performance with four goals and a clean sheet in his home country. I hope it made him happy.”
