Lampard: West Ham boss Moyes has nothing to prove

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, revealed David Moyes has ‘nothing to redeem’ as a manager.

Moyes will take West Ham United to Stamford Bridge on Monday night with his team sitting in 10th on the table, five points off the top four.

The Scotsman recently said he may have a point to prove in England after difficult spells at Manchester United and Sunderland.

“There’s nothing for him to redeem,” said Lampard. “When you work in this job, any manager would understand whatever club you’re at there are always a million factors behind the scenes.

“You’re working to have success, whether it happens is always subjective to everyone on the outside. As a manager, you see things differently.

“What’s clear is that the clubs he’s managed are top football clubs. What he’s doing at West Ham is the job of a top manager. And that’s all that matters. The observations of others who think he needs to redeem himself don’t matter. I don’t see it that way.”
