Lasisi claims WBC International Silver title
Nigerian boxer, Aliu Bamidele Lasisi defeated Mchanja Yohana of Tanzania by unanimous decision to claim the World Boxing Council (WBC) International Silver Super Flyweight title at the famous Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra, Ghana on Wednesday night.
The win in Ghana moves Lasisi to 11 wins from 11 contests in a record that leaves the 28 year old with eight knockouts and three wins via unanimous decisions.
Lasisi becomes the second Nigerian boxer to win a WBC silver title after Olanrewaju Durodola won in the Cruiserweight category when he defeated Dmitry Kudryashov in 2015.
