Lawrence Okolie joins Tyson Fury camp

wants to fight in the heavyweight division

Lawrence Okolie will join Tyson Fury’s training camp in the US ahead of the Latter’s World Boxing Council (WBC) title fight with Deontay Wilder in December.
Okolie, the unbeaten British and Commonwealth  cruiser-weigh champion, will spar with Fury at Big Bear Lake in California to replicate Wilder’s fighting style.
The British-Nigerian has helped heavyweights train for fights in the past; sparring with his mentor, Anthony Joshua ahead of Joshua’s fight with Alexander Povetkin last month.
He has also sparred with Dillian Whyte and the 25-year-old admits he wants to fight in the heavyweight division in the future.
“It is an ambition of mine to move up to heavyweight, but I still feel like I have a lot of fundamentals that need to be ironed out at cruiser-weight,” he said.
“I am able to get away with a lot of stuff as a cruiser-weight that I won’t be able to get away with as a heavyweight, so we are just going to work on it.”.
