Legendary football manager Henri Michel has died

One time Cameroon, Morocco and Tunisia Coach, Henri Michel has died at the age of 70.

One time Cameroon, Morocco and Tunisia Coach, Henri Michel has died at the age of 70.

 

Michel, who also represented France as a player between 1967 and 1980, was Coach of the French national team and won gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

He also guided the team to third place at the 1986 World Cup.

We are saddened to hear about the death of legendary coach Henri Michel, a man who brought joy to thousands of fans around the world.
He guided 4 different sides to the World Cup as coach:
🇫🇷France in 1986 (🥉),
Cameroon in 1994
🇲🇦Morocco in 1998
🇨🇮Côte d’Ivoire in 2006

At the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations, he led Ivory Coast to the final of the competition; defeating Nigeria at the semi-final 1-0.

The French man who is well traveled on the continent and has managed 8 countries, passed on Tuesday 24th April.
