Leicester boss Rodgers eager to strengthen defence in Ndidi’s absence

Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, has revealed his intention to strengthen his defence this month.

Rodgers says Leicester are working hard to bring in defensive reinforcements this month, but warned there is “nothing imminent” in terms of new signings.

“It’s clearly a window where it’s difficult – there’s never going to be many players coming in,” Rodgers said.

“I mentioned a pressing need to get some reinforcements at the back with some of the players out. That’s something that the club is looking at.

“It’s also important to bring in the right profile of player as well. We don’t just want to take any player just for the sake of it – it has to be someone who can fit how we work.”
