Leicester City linked with move for Chelsea star Abraham

Leicester City have been linked with a move for Chelsea star Tammy Abraham.

The claims emerged after Araham was left out of Chelsea’s matchday squad for the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City last weekend.

City are gunning for a return to the Champions League next season with Brendan Rodgers’ side well-placed to finish in the top four with a four-point buffer to West Ham United in fifth and with a game-in-hand on David Moyes’ side.

City could be in the market for a striker next season despite the form of Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy, who have scored 15 and 16 goals respectively this season.

Rodgers and City’s recruitment team are also set to add to midfield, with Naby Keita at Liverpool linked with a move to the King Power Stadium.

Former City striker Brian Deane has tipped Abraham to complete a move to Chelsea.

“They’ve got players like Tielemans and the rest of them,” Deane told The Transfer Tavern.

“It would be a fantastic place for someone like Abraham, to be honest.

“They’ll have Iheanacho, they’ll have Vardy and they’ll have him. I mean, for me, if I was a young forward, I’d love to play under Rodgers.”
