Leon Balogun makes Scottish Team of The Week

 

Nigeria defender, Leon Balogun appears to have settled down with Scottish Premiership side, Glasgow Rangers after making the Team of the Week with the end of week two matches.

Balogun who recently joined the Scottish side from the English Premier League side, Brighton was named by Football statistics website, Whoscored.com who picked the Nigerian as one of the two central defenders.

Balogun was ranked the third best-ranked player with a rating of 8.5 against St. Mirren, with the football site commending him for the way he provided cover for goalkeeper, Jonathan McLaughlin during the encounter.

As part of the statistics credited to him, Balogun won a game-high seven aerial duels, made a joint game-high five interceptions and a team-high three clearances to the delight of Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard.

The former Brighton player was accurate in 91.2 percent of his passes, made one dribble and two tackles.
