Super Eagles and Brighton & Hove Albion  defender Leon Balogun is not only concerned about his own contribution but also efforts being made by other Nigerians in improving the nation’s image.

The former Mainz 05 ace apparently thrilled by the performance of Award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter David Adeleke aka Davido at O2 Arena, took time to interact, urging the high the flying musician to maintain the momentum.

Balogun who has not featured for Brighton & Hove Albion in the last four matches will be hoping to get back to action when they host Watford on Saturday.

The Nigerian international who is available for selection ahead of the Super Eagles inconsequential AFCON qualifier against Seychelles and friendly tie against Pharaohs of Egypt, last enjoyed full 90 minutes action in his club’s FA Cup tie against AFC Bournemouth with Brighton & Hove Albion running away with a 3-1 victory in front of 10,522 spectators at the Vitality Stadium.

Brighton & Hove Albion in the last five matches have won one, lost three including 4-2 defeat by Fulham, playing out a goalless draw against West Brom.

No fewer than 20, 000 music lovers were tantalised by Davido at his first sold-out show at O2 Arena, London. He thus became the second Nigerian musician to pull such crowd completely sold out after the feat achieved by compatriot and professional colleague Wizkid 2018.
