The Daily Star reported that Liverpool had other priorities before agreeing on a new contract for star forward Salah.
The Egyptian forward expressed his admiration for Real Madrid and Barcelona in an interview with Spanish outlet AS last month, fueling speculation over his long-term future at Anfield.
