Liverpool to challenge Man Utd for Atalanta defender Romero
Liverpool are ready to challenge Manchester United for Atalanta defender Cristian Romero.
According to Sky Italia, Liverpool have made the first contact with Atalanta to ask about the Argentine.
Despite having already shelled out £36million on RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool have asked Atalanta about Romero and evidently wants to be kept in the loop about him potentially being available for a transfer.

Atalanta are set to sign Romero permanently from Juventus before potentially selling him on.
United are said to have already had one offer turned down for the defender in recent days.
