Liverpool to lose Salah for Egypt Olympics campaign

Liverpool are on the verge of losing Mohamed Salah to Egypt duty during the Olympic Games.

The country’s U23 coach Shawky Gharib confirmed he wants to pick Salah for the tournament, which will be played in Japan next year.

“The team’s technical staff and the Egyptian Football Association have the desire to call up Mohamed Salah for the Olympics,” he told reporters, via Ahram Online.

“Salah is a world-class player and I hope that he will be able to play with us in the Olympics. When you have such a player in your team, the objectives of the team would be different.”
