Madagascar name 23-man squad for Eagles

Madagascar coach Nicolas Dupuis has announced his 23-man squad that will face Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, with three players on standby.

The Barea will face the Super Eagles in the last Group B match in Alexandria on June 30.
Lyon defender Jeremy Morel, 35, who recently switched his international allegiance to the Indian Ocean Island from France, made the team to represent the Bareas for their first Afcon appearance after impressing in their final two qualification fixtures against Sudan and Senegal.
Dupuis  recalled Troyes midfielder, Rayan Raveloson after being out of contention since the team’s  AFCON qualifiers double header against Equatorial Guinea in October.
There is also a recall for Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Andriamiraldo ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana who did not feature in the group stage of the qualifiers while  Marco Ilaimaharitra, Victor Osimhen’s teammate in Charleroi, Belgium is expected to lead the midfield.
