Man City not so good this season, says Everton boss

Everton boss, Carlo Ancelotti, says Manchester City’s standards have slipped this season.

“Liverpool have won all of the games,” Ancelotti said before the City fixture.

“That is why (Man City trail). It is a fantastic run but maybe Man City aren’t at the same level as last year. That’s the difference.

“They remain a fantastic team with fantastic players and a fantastic manager. It’ll be a tough test but we need confidence to compete and focus on our football.”

Indeed, Ancelotti spoke of his admiration for Pep Guardiola.

He added: “Pep is a fantastic manager. I have a good relationship with him. I have met him a few times. I have a lot of respect for him. He is a genius. He always try to do something special on the pitch.”
