Manchester United have been monitoring Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Juventus since April, with the attacker a target for the Red Devils this summer, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

The 36-year-old enjoyed another impressive scoring season at Juve, finding the back of the net on 36 occasions in 44 appearances in all competitions.

The Portugal international has a contract with the Old Lady until next June, but there have been suggestions that he could move on in the upcoming market.

Talk of a return to Man United has been gathering pace in recent weeks, and according to Schira, the 20-time English champions have been discussing a move for the experienced forward since April.

The Italian journalist also claims that Ronaldo will meet with his Italian club ‘in the next days’ to discuss his future.
