Man United eye £50m-rated Everton star as replacement for Haaland

Manchester United have turned their attentions to Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after top target Erling Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund.

The Norwegian had been rumoured to join up with compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, but he signed for Bundesliga side Dortmund for a reported £18million.

Now, Solskjaer has his eyes on Everton striker Calvert-Lewin, who the Toffees value at £50million, according to The Sun.

However, the report details that Everton would be reluctant to let the 22-year-old go.

Calvert-Lewin has scored 10 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions this season, including a match-winning double at Newcastle on Saturday.

He also scored on Boxing Day against Burnley, in new manager Carlo Ancelotti’s first game in charge.

The Everton gaffer is a known fan of Calvert-Lewin, previously saying while Napoli manager, ‘there are a lot of people who have eyes on him.’
