Man United’s Amorim confirms Chido Obi might feature against Arsenal

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that 17-year-old Chido Obi will be part of the squad set to face Arsenal at Old Trafford in Sunday’s Premier League clash.

Obi caught attention with his impressive cameo during United’s FA Cup defeat to Fulham. While still developing, fans have been eager to see more of him as the club continues its fight for European qualification and the last chance at silverware this season.

Speaking ahead of the game, Amorim told the club’s website that the young talent will be included in the squad.

“Everybody can start,” he said.

“If they are training tomorrow, if they play today, they can be ready – and Chido is on the list so he can play.”

Amorim also emphasized the need to manage his small squad carefully, given their current circumstances.

“When you are in this kind of club, you cannot think like that (about rotation) with a small squad in this moment. We are trying to see all the players who are fresh and who are not in danger of getting an injury. Even with that, we have to risk a little bit, but we have to be competitive on Sunday.”
