Man Utd get ‘take-it-or-leave-it asking price for Sancho

Manchester United have been handed an ultimatum by Borussia Dortmund regarding the potential transfer of Jadon Sancho.

talkSPORT understands that the German club have set the Red Devils a ‘take-it-or-leave-it asking price of £77million (approximately 90m euros) plus add-ons.

Sancho is understood to have agreed personal terms with Man United but the Premier League giants are yet to agree with his club’s demands.

Man United tried to sign Sancho last summer but were unwilling to pay Dortmund’s asking price, which was in excess of £100m.

It was reported earlier this week that United had submitted a bid in excess of £75m for Sancho after having an earlier bid turned down.

But it appears they’ve not submitted an offer to the satisfaction of Dortmund, who are understood to want to get the deal done before they begin their pre-season training camp on July 23.

The 21-year-old has been unable to showcase his talents at Euro 2020 thus far having been left out of England’s matchday squad against Croatia last weekend while sitting on the bench throughout their goalless draw against Scotland.

Sancho insisted before the tournament that any speculation surrounding his future will not impact his form for his country.

“I’m cool about it,” he told talkSPORT. “There’s always going to be speculation, especially when you do well.

“It’s just how you handle that on the pitch. You’ve got to keep doing what you’re doing, if you keep on doing that then I’m sure that won’t be a problem.

“The main thing is my football and that’s what I’m focusing on at the moment.”

He’s been a revelation in Germany since leave United’s rivals Manchester City as a 17-year-old in August 2017.

The forward has 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances for Dortmund. He scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists in all competitions in the 2020/21 season.
