Man Utd handed Sancho transfer boost as Dortmund ‘lower asking price’

Borussia Dortmund stood firm over their demands for Jadon Sancho last summer under the terms of their ‘gentleman’s agreement’, but it appears they have now relaxed their stance

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho amid reports Borussia Dortmund have lowered their asking price for the winger.

United failed to land Sancho last summer after baulking at the €120m (£108m) price tag set by the German club.

Eventually United got close to the mark, lodging a final bid in the region of £93m just weeks before the window shut, but by that stage Dortmund had no intentions of selling.

A year on though and the landscape has altered slightly, with the Bundesliga giants now reportedly prepared to accept a lower offer, providing any bid meets their terms.
