Man Utd reportedly reach agreement with Real Madrid defender

Raphael Varane has already made his decision, according to ‘ABC’. The Spanish newspaper says that the French central defender is clear he will leave Real Madrid.

He has reportedly already reached an agreement with Man Utd and will earn 10 million pounds a year for five seasons.

After some days of reflection, the Frenchman reportedly decided to put an end to his time at Real Madrid and try his luck in the Premier League.

According to ‘ABC’, Varane has given Man Utd the ‘ok’ to Man Utd’s proposal. They have now got his word for it: he will sign for the next five seasons, in other words, until 2026. He will get 10 million pounds a year.

That amount of money was enough for Varane to decide. The newspaper says that Madrid had offered him a new contract for four seasons. However, his salary was going to be much less than 10 million pounds (12 million euros a season). He was going to get seven million euros a term.

Man Utd approached Real Madrid for the first time this Saturday to talk about Varane. However, they did not put in a firm offer to Real Madrid. In this sense, ‘ABC’ adds that Man Utd are not thinking of paying more than 40 million pounds because they paid around 80 for Jadon Sancho just a few days back.

If Varane’s departure is confirmed, Real Madrid will not sign central defenders in the transfer market. Their plan is to replace him with Jesus Vallejo or Mario Gila.
