Man Utd senior players unhappy with Solskjaer’s team selection
Some senior Manchester United players are baffled by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team selection.
Some United players are surprised by Jesse Lingard’s lack of playing time and the decision to name an unchanged team for the 5-0 drubbing by Liverpool, says the Manchester Evening News.

Doubts started to surface over Solskjaer’s selections with the inclusion of Daniel James in two of their first three games this season. James was an inclusion in the 1-0 win at Wolves on August 29 – two days before he was sold to Leeds United for £25million. Lingard has not started in the Premier League for United since New Year’s Day in 2020.
Dressing room sources also say Donny van de Beek’s training performances have impressed teammates but the Dutchman has not started in the league since May and made just one substitute appearance in the competition this term.
United have failed to respond to requests for comment on Solskjaer’s position as the pressure mounts on the Norwegian following the seismic 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool at Old Trafford.
