Manchester United v Leicester Fallout: Ndidi voted Best Passer

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was adjudged the player with the most passes in the opening fixture of the 2018/19 English Premier League (EPL) season which they lost 2-1 to Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Friday.

The player who was rated the best tackler in the premier league last season made 87 passes according to the statistics page of the English Premier League.

Ndidi’s teammate Adrien Silva came second while Manchester United captain and World Cup winner Paul Pogba was third.

Friday’s encounter was Ndidi’s 51st appearance for the Foxes since joining from Standard Liege two seasons ago.

Paul Pogba gave United the lead from the penalty spot in the third minute with Luke Shaw scoring United’s second goal eightminutes from time before substitute Jamie Vardy however reduced the deficit for Leicester two minutes in additional time.

Leicester host newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanders next Saturday.
