Enyimba’s Stephen Manyo has stressed that he is still in dreamland after he won his first league crown with the People’s Elephant at the end of the Nigeria Professional Football League Championship Playoffs held at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Manyo joined the People’s Elephant at the beginning of the just concluded season and despite playing only a handful of games because of the presence of experienced central defenders like Ifeanyi Anaemena and Nelson Ogbonnaya but the young defender has claimed his first league title.
The defender said that he felt he joined Enyimba at the right time and that he never felt he would be having the league title medal clad around his neck so fast the way it came.
“My decision to join Enyimba was perfect,” Manyo told the club’s official media.
“Coming here I never knew what the future would hold for me and coming to a big side for the first time I knew there would be many challenges.

“I never saw it coming that this particular season I would become a champion. I would say I give God all the glory and I know and believe that as it has started coming like this more is to come.”
