“Complying with the protocols, doctor (Leopoldo) Luque together with (Flavio) ‘Pepe’ Tunessi, gymnastics doctor, performed the swab on Maradona,” Sebastián Sanchi, one of the world champion’s doctors, reported through Instagram alongside a photo of Maradona with the doctors minutes after undergoing the test.

Additional report suggests that Maradona’s medical team recommended that the former World Cup winner should absent himself from training during the first week to avoid catching the coronavirus.
“He has many factors: excess weight, hypertension, he was recently operated on and is at the limit of 60 years,” another of his doctors, Pablo Del Compare, told Radio La Red on Sunday.
