Match abandoned as Ghanaian Referee collapses during Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia duel
A disaster was averted in the AFCON qualifier between Cote d’Ivoire and Ethiopia when the centre referee from Ghana, Charles Bulu, suddenly collapsed while officiating in Abidjan.
The Ghanaian referee in the Ivory Coast vs Ethiopia match was stretchered off in the 80 minutes after he collapsed.

The match was abandoned after he was stretchered off in the 80 minutes after he collapsed. Cote d’Ivoire were already leading by 3-1 against the visitors.

The game could not continue as the 4th referee was from Ivory Coast.
The result of the game will not have any impact on the group standings after Madagascar were held to a goalless draw at home by Niger.
