Matter of Cash:  Juve withdraws Dybala’s contract extension

Paulo Dybala’s future at Juventus seems even more doubtful as the Old Lady have reportedly withdrawn their latest contract extension offer.

The Argentinean striker sees his €7.5m-a-year contract expire in June 2022 and Juventus had offered him a new €10m-a-year deal.

Dybala and his entourage refused the offer, requesting a new €15m-a-year deal, but according to Calciomercato.com, Juventus have withdrawn their latest offer.

It happened after the Argentinean broke COVID rules last week, attending a private party at Weston McKennie’s home along with their teammate Arthur.

Juventus fined the players and Andrea Pirlo didn’t include them in the squad to face Torino last weekend.

According to the report, Dybala is facing even more significant consequences.

The Bianconeri have withdrawn their contract extension offer and have told the player he can extend his stay at the club on the same conditions of his current agreement.

The relationship between Dybala and the club remains tense and the player’s exit in the summer is likely, unless he decides to stay in Turin for one more season and leave the Allianz Stadium as a free agent at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

Dybala joined Juventus in a €40m deal from Palermo in 2015 and has scored 98 goals in 243 games with the Serie A giants since.
