Germany World Cup winner, Lothar Matthaus, has said Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, ‘is the man’ to replace Joachim Low.
German football is in crisis after their humiliating 6-0 thrashing by Spain last night.
Matthaus has sent an SOS to Klopp, who is tied to the Reds until 2024.
“When you talk about possible candidates, there is only one person that everyone would like in the future, and that is Jürgen Klopp,” he told Sky Deutschland.
“He is extremely successful, personal and equally popular with fans and the media.
“He is far from finished in Liverpool and he will have time for the national team in a few years.”
