Mayweather destroys Nasukwa in minutes, vows not to return to boxing

Floyd Mayweather has dismissed any plans for him to return to the boxing ring after demolishing kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year’s Eve.

It took less than three minutes for ‘The Moneyman’ to knock down the Japanese kickboxer three times in a totally one-sided bout of exhibition boxing at Saitama Super Arena on the northern outskirts of Tokyo

Nasukawa’s father threw in the towel after 140 seconds of the first round on Monday as his 20-year-old son bravely teetered around the ring trying to get up.

As speculation persists that 41-year-old Mayweather will return to the ring for a third time after retiring for an official fight in 2019, probably a rematch against Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao, he maintained that he is not interested in boxing again.

In a post-exhibition interview, Mayweather said: “I am still retired.

“I don’t look forward to coming back to boxing. I did it just to entertain fans in Japan. I’m still retired. I’m still 50-0 and Nasukawa is still undefeated, and a hell of a fighter.”

Mayweather has won all 50 of his pro fights, while Nasukawa has an undefeated record in kickboxing and mixed martial arts.
