Mikel makes squad for Europa tie despite missing training
Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi is likely not to be in action for new club Trabzonspor for Thursday’s Europa League group stage against Sparta Prague despite making the trip to the Eastern European country.
According to Fanatik.com, a Turkish website, Mikel who was officially unveiled on Saturday by the club did not train on Monday before the team’s departure on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile compatriot, Ogenyi Onazi did not make the trip as he still recovering from a long injury which has sidelined him for eight months.
Another Nigerian, Anthony Nwakaeme, made the trip and is likely to lead the attack following his impressive form during pre season.

The forward scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in his debut season in the Turkish League.
