Milan, Barcelona and Spurs lock horns over  Damsgaard

Sampdoria midfielder Mikkel Damsgaard is making a big splash at Euro 2020 with Denmark, earning interest from Barcelona, Milan, Tottenham and West Ham.

He won’t turn 21 until next week and joined Samp from Nordsjaelland for €6.75m in September 2020.

Claudio Ranieri gave him relatively little playing time in Serie A, but he still scored two goals and contributed four assists in 35 appearances.

His stunning strike from distance in Denmark’s 4-1 win over Russia caught everyone’s attention, with Spanish newspapers Marca and Sport pointing towards Barcelona, Tottenham and West Ham United.

However, Milan are also interested and Ekstra Bladet claim Simon Kjaer is doing his best to convince Damsgaard during their international duty together with Denmark that San Siro would be an ideal option.

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero commented on the race for his signature in an interview with Il Secolo XIX newspaper, claiming the price was €30m, but would rise to €40m if he scored again for Denmark
