Moses: Nigerians should be proud of our performance

Super Eagles midfielder, Simon Moses has reaffirmed his conviction that Nigerians will now be proud of them after they finished third at the just concluded 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Moses was part of the Nigerian team that dazed the Carthage Eagles 1-0 at the Cairo International Stadium on Wednesday night and he expressed his relief with the fact that they didn’t end the AFCON empty-handed.
The Levante of Spain midfielder pointed out that they were disappointed to lose in the semi-final to Algeria but that as professionals they had to put that behind them to concentrate on beating the Tunisians and keeping Nigeria’s enviable record of never losing a third-place game at the AFCON.
“We are glad. We have something to say back home and I believe our people back home will be proud of us,” Moses told SportingLife. “We all are professionals and we just have to do our job. I am satisfied with the outcome of our stay in Egypt and I hope we will carry on from this at the next competition.”
