Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr told journalists that the striker copped an injury as reported by
SportingLife.ng on Thursday during the morning training session and he has not been able to train with the
rest of his colleagues.

Rohr also confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi who is battling to recover from a thigh injury won’t be available for the friendly match with the DR Congo national team while he also disclosed that the availability of William Troost Ekong, Joel Obi and few others are still in doubt for the same game as they are also nursing minor knocks.

He said the technical crew is doing its best to ensure that the players are injury -free as much as
possible and that they are putting those with minor knocks through special training regimen to ensure
that they recover quickly.
