Moses re-echoes support for former club Wigan Athletic.

Victor Moses in super outing for Wigan close to a decade back

Former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses may have left wigan Athletic eight years ago, but the Inter Milan loanee has revealed undying love for the English League One side.

Moses played for Wigan Athletic between 2010 and 2012 while the club was still in the premier league scoring eight goals in 74 appearances.

Moses had earlier played for Crystal Palace before moving to Wigan. Unfortunately the club has been facing teething problems including financial constraints and has again unfortunately slide down from the elite division to the third tier league, but Moses nonetheless insists that the club and its officials need every support they can get describing his stay at the DW Stadium as memorable for him and his family.

Taking to the social media Wednesday, the Chelsea star who has been on long loan journey since 2013, urged lovers of the club to put every hand on deck to protect it.

The 29 year old who had five different loan deals to Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham, Fenerbahçe and currently Inter Milan said;  

“Wigan Athletic will always have a special place in my heart.I have so many incredible memories from my time there and the people of Wigan & everyone associated with the club have always been so good to me and my family. We must do all we can to protect the future of this great club”

Club supporters are definitely not sitting on the fence as they recently launched fund-raising effort initially aimed at reaching £500,000 by 31August to secure the club’s future. The financial target was achieved and a further target of £750,000 reportedly set.
