Mourinho: Kane will be fit to face Arsenal after injury scare
Jose Mourinho expects Harry Kane to be fit to face Arsenal and has played down concerns over his injury scare against Dinamo Zagreb.
Kane scored twice as Spurs put one foot in the Europa League quarter-finals with a 2-0 win on Thursday night.
But the striker was substituted late on after he suffered a heavy whack to his right knee.
Kane had a large ice pack on his knee on the bench but Mourinho is confident the issue will not keep him out of Sunday’s north London derby at Emirates Stadium.
“I do not believe it is anything big.” Mourinho told BT Sport. “It is a match on Sunday that everyone wants to play and little things are not going to stop them to play. I do not have that feeling [that there is concern]. I believe that he is going to be OK.”
