Mourinho: My problem with Klopp

Jose Mourinho reckons he’d have been sent to the stands if he behaved like Jurgen Klopp on the touchline following Liverpool’s win over Tottenham.

Both Mourinho and Klopp are known for being animated on the touchline, and the two managers were in their technical areas a lot at Anfield on Wednesday night.

But it seems Spurs boss Mourinho felt Klopp overstepped the mark a little.

Speaking on Amazon Prime, Mourinho explained his thoughts, and couldn’t resist revealing he aimed a cheeky dig at Klopp after the game; telling him the best team lost.

“By the way, if I behaved the way on the touchline like he does, I have no chance to stay there – and I’m out.

Mourinho later added: “Everything is fine between us. The referees let him behave the way he does. It’s not my problem. I feel sad for it because I can not do it but it’s just the way it is.”

Klopp was asked for his thoughts on Mourinho’s comments, and looked confused.

He replied: “My English is worse than I thought. He’s next to me – maybe you ask him? I thought he said to me the better team lost. Nothing about my behaviour on the touchline.”
