Moving to Turkey was a tough decision–Moses

Former Super Eagles manager, Victor Moses has recounted how difficult it was for him to move to Turkey after it became obvious that he had no future at premier league side, Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri.

Moses who has never played for any club outside England since going professional in 2007 is now on loan with 19-time Turkish champions Fenerbahce.

“It’s tough, as Chelsea’s a very special place for me and I’ve always had a great relationship with the fans but it became very obvious that I was not in the manager’s plans,”

“It obviously wasn’t the easiest option to take. I wanted to come here because I just wanted to play football,” he explains.

Having contributed to the club’s escape from relegation, Moses now 28 years says his desire is to make sure that Fenerbahce moves to the next level.

“I want to make sure the club is in a better position than when I arrived and that is a huge test of myself as a player, to take them to where they want to be,” he told the Guardian of UK.

Since landing in Istanbul with his family, Moses has played in 13 league games and lost just once, helping Fenerbahce up to eighth and with a fighting chance of Europa League qualification.
