Musa: I can’t believe two years have gone since scoring against Iceland

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa may have forgotten Nigeria’s exit from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, but not the goals he scored against Iceland in the group stage.

Today marks two years since Nigeria defeated the tiny European nation 2-0 courtesy of Musa’s brace in Volgograd in a Group D encounter.

He opened up on those wonderful moments on his Twitter handle.

“Wow how time flies. I can’t believe it’s 2 years already since I scored those much-needed goals at the World Cup ⚽⚽⚽⚽The tears of joy I shed that day I can never forget. Unarguably one of the best days of my life. Grateful to Allah & everyone of you for the love,”he wrote on his Twitter handle,” posted the player whose goals were adjudged among the tournament’s best.

The Saudi based player emerged as the country’s highest scorer at the World Cup with four goals after striking twice at the 2014 edition in Brazil.
