Musa, Iwobi, Ndidi Celebrate Nigeria’s Independence

Super Eagles players on Monday joined Nigerians to celebrate the 58th birthday of its dear fatherland.

Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, kelechi Iheanacho were some of the national team players who took time out to remember the day Nigeria gained its independence from its colonial masters.

The players, who are among the 23 that have been invited for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations double header against Libya took to their social media handles to wish the country well.

“Happy Independence Day Naija 🇳🇬.He added: “Today is a day that represents freedom, equality and unity.
I stand proud to be a Nigerian and on this day of our independence,” tweeted Ndidi.

In his message, Arsenal player Alex Iwobi also wished Nigeria well. “Happy Independence Day Nigeria,
your big 17 at Arsenal and for the Nigeria national team celebrating you,”Iwobi said in a video he
posted on Twitter.

Galatasaray of Turkey forward, Henry Onyekuru was also not left out.

The players are expected in camp on October 8 for the Libya game scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio
Stadium in Uyo.
