Musa Redeems N4M Pledge for Victorious Olympic Eagles

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has fulfilled his promise of a Million Naira for every goal scored by the U23 Eagles.

Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, confirmed this development minutes after the Olympic Eagles thrashed Libya 4-0 on Monday in Asaba.

Toyin Ibitoye said that the players are happy about the win and also with Ahmed Musa who spurred them to go all out to emerge victorious.

Recall that Musa made the promise to the team ahead of the game against Libya in order to spur them to action after the team had lost the first leg of the encounter last week.

The stand-in skipper of the Super Eagles had promised the team the sum of 1 million Naira for each goal scored.

And true to his word, he has redeemed his pledge as soon as the Dream Team VII defeated Libya by 4-0 at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba on Monday.

Super Eagles hopeful, Victor Osimhen scored a hat-trick and provided an assist as the Imama Amapakabo led tutored side won convincingly to progress to the next round of qualifiers in June.
