Sportinglife.ng can report that the 26-year-old Eagles forward who made the call joined the rest of Super Eagles players who defeated Libya 4-0 in Uyo to raise the sum of N6.5M for its preparations.

He further urged well-meaning Nigerians to do same and be philanthropic toward actualising the desire of the team.

He said, “We know the condition of the country now but I am going to call on everyone who has the passion and privilege to support them with any amount. Apart from that we have to give them all the support they need, pray for them and wish them the best of luck.”

As gathered, the Nigeria Football Federation’s president Amaju Pinnnick has promised the team the sum of N2.5 million and addition of $5, 000 for their efforts.
