Musa’s goal fails to rescue Al Nassr, Osimhen scores

Super Eagles vice captain, Ahmed Musa and Al Nassr failed to progress to the next round of the Saudi Cup as they lost 4-2 to rivals Al Ittihad on Saturday.

Al Ittihad were two goals up courtesy of Aleksandar Prijovic and Fahad Al-Muwallad before Musa reduced the tally in the 66th minute while Abderrazak Hamdallah made it two from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.

The match had to be decided in extra time with Al Ittihad carrying the day following a brace from Romarinho in the 96th and 106th minutes.

Elsewhere Flying Eagles hat-trick hero, Victor Osimhen has shown he is on top of his game for Sporting Charleroi after scoring his 15th goal in their 2-2 draw away to Oostende on Saturday in the Belgian First division Europa League play-off group A.

Osimhen equalised in the 68th minute six minutes after Fashion Sankala had shot the hosts into the lead.

It was not Taiwo Awoniyi’s day for Royal Excel Mouscron as he fired blank in their 3-2 loss at home to Kortrijk also in the Belgian league.

In Spain, Kenneth Omeruo cleared the ball from the goalline to save Leganes from defeat against Celta Vigo which ended 0-0 at home.
