According to the Russian beauty queen, Mikel played his best before he was substituted by Coach Gernot
Rohr in the second half of the match on Friday.
Diyachenko refused to sulk on the team’s loss; rather she consoled and encouraged her husband for the
disappointing start of the tournament.
“You win some, you lose some my love… you are always a winner in my eyes. Love you. Go Nigeria,” she
wrote on her Instagram page.
Eagles’ next match against Iceland will be played at the Volgograd on Friday.
